Layer.com
1 minute loop animations that could go on forever and feel like slowly moving paintings. This was the concept and brief when working on these for Layer, a device that comes with an art subscription on it. I was among the invited artists to create animations for the launch of the brand new product and took that invite to expand my animation skills further.

Both directions didn't really had a strong focal point on purpose, so it would look more like a full-on filled abstract painting instead of a digital animation. No stories, just vibes.

Since the default with animation is always to make as much happen as possible within a short array of seconds, this one was pretty out of the box for me. It had to be very ambient and move without making the movement be the hero or distracting, actually you shouldnt see that it moves and only notice it if you truly focus on the piece.
